This is the empirical language result from several questions
asked to children under the age of 8
after showing a series of colored papers with caterpillar
gnawing marks. The series is a book of ¡®the traces of leaves
that caterpillars have gnawed.' |
| |
¡®Traces of Leaves that Caterpillars have Gnawed¡¯is
experiencing processes and it`s focused on 10 volumes of
the textbooks about
¡®the trace of leaves caterpillars gnawed¡¯ and didn¡¯t distinguish
the boys from girls.
A teacher asked a group of 5~10 children ¡°What do you think
of when you look at this picture?¡± A child answered the
question, and then asked another child the same question.
These subsequent question-and-answer sessions provided the
basis for some incredibly imaginative stories. All of these
dialogues were recorded by the teacher, while the children
were questioning and answering one another.
The children at the age of 4~5 answered in simple sentences,
and Those at the age of children showed a greater range/variance
in their answers. The 7 year-old-children made more concrete
imaginary stories. There would be some differences in the
stories of children¡¯s experience/language stories, depending
on the teacher¡¯s initial questions. |
